Airbag Readiness Light

The Airbag Readiness Light will appear as a large circle hovering above a passenger. You will normally see this light as soon as you turn on your vehicle, at which point the light will shut off after a few seconds. If this light doesn't shut off, or if it never even appears at all, then it's indicating to you that there is an issue with your airbag system.

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light)

The Malfunction Indicator Lamp, commonly known as the Check Engine Light, will look like an engine symbol and can light up for a few reasons. The main reason this light is on is that there is an issue with your engine system that will likely need to be inspected by a technician. The light may appear continuously or it may be flashing.

If it's on continuously, you might be able to fix the issue yourself. It could simply be that the fuel cap has come off or that it is not on tightly enough. Once you adjust it, the light should go away after you drive the car a few times. With capless fuel, you may have left the capless funnel adapter in place. If so, make sure to remove it and drive the car a few times to wait for the light to reset.

A blinking Check Engine Light may mean that something is wrong with the emission control system. It would be best to have your vehicle inspected by a local dealership, so you'll want to take your vehicle in for service if the light continues to blink.

Power Steering Warning Light

This symbol will look like a steering wheel with a large exclamation mark to the side of it. As with the airbag light, it should come on when you turn your vehicle on. If it happens to not illuminate when you start the engine, you'll want to get your power steering checked out.

Tire Pressure Light

The Tire Pressure Light will look like a tire that has an exclamation point in the center. When it appears as a steady light, it's trying to let you know that one or more of your tires may have lost pressure and needs to be refilled.

There could also be an issue with the overall Tire Pressure Monitor System, at which time this symbol will blink for a minute then remain steady. If so, you'll want to stop by a service center to have it looked at.

Service Vehicle Soon Light

If your car is equipped with this function, then the Service Vehicle Soon Light will appear as a car with a wrench in the middle. This light can be of great help to keep you reminded about your service needs.
